Diego Laguna attended Missouri Baptist University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Marketing and minor in Business Administration, and his Master of Sciences in Sport Management. Before moving to Washington State, he was Student Coordinator at Maine Immigrant and Refugee Services. Originally from Lima, Peru, Diego continues to be inspired by the hardworking and dedicated teachers and coaches at his school in Peru.
Someday, he would like to visit Peru again and perhaps travel to Spain. When he is not busy recruiting students in Tonasket for the Future Ready 21st CCLC program, Diego can usually be found coaching volleyball or playing video games, particularly PS5 and Nintendo Switch. He enjoys competing against his students at video gaming because he’s pretty sure that he can win most of the time. And sometimes he does, but sometimes he doesn’t.
Diego also admits that he tends to overuse the word “but.” But he’s working on that.
